Lindsay Nelson, M.Ed, LPC
Therapist
Lindsay is an Idaho native who has dedicated more than 16 years to supporting individuals and
families in the mental health field. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Idaho in 2008 and completed her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Concordia University Wisconsin in 2024.
Prior to becoming a therapist, Lindsay worked as a high school counselor, helping adolescents navigate academic, emotional, and social challenges. She also gained valuable clinical experience providing therapy and case management services to college-aged students in a therapeutic program, deepening her understanding of the unique challenges faced during major life transitions.
Lindsay provides counseling services to adolescents and adults ages 14 and older. She has a special interest in working with individuals navigating trauma, PTSD, anxiety, relationship concerns, women's issues, life transitions, and other personal challenges that impact emotional well-being and daily functioning. She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and incorporates evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients process difficult experiences, develop effective coping skills, and create meaningful change.
Lindsay takes a person-centered, trauma-informed approach to therapy, believing that each client is the expert of their own experience. She strives to create a supportive, collaborative environment where clients feel heard, empowered, and equipped to move toward healing, resilience, and greater fulfillment. Her goal is to help clients build on their strengths, navigate life's challenges with confidence, and move toward a more balanced and authentic life.
Following areas I work with: trauma/PTSD, EMDR, CBT, DBT, anxiety, life transitions, women's issues, relationship issues.
